Queen Helene Oatmeal N Honey Gentle Facial Scrub $3.99 (Can be found at CVS and Walgreens)
This was a great facial scrub. Made my face smell like cookie dough lol Its gentle enough for the most sensitive skin. The beads or oats in it give you the feeling like you’re having a professional facial done right at home lol But because it has Sodium Laurylr Sulfate in it, I will not be purchasing this or any of Queen Helene products. I have been doing great with my hair and face not using products with Sodium Laurylr Sulfates or SLSs that I am not going to stop now. But if you dont mind or care about the SLS then I would definitely recommend this facial scrub. Its great.
Shea Moisture Organic African Black Soap $4.99 bought @ Targets
Great Great Great!!!!! This is a definite add to my skin care collection. It leaves my skin clean and refreshed. Works great for breakouts, in getting rid of them very quickly. Great for acne prone skin and troubled skin. No SLS, thank goodness. Have all natural ingredients, especially shea butter. Of course this is not all just African Black soap, becuase it isnt actually black. Great buy! I recommend to to any and everyone looking for a bar of soap that is all natural and organic and clears acne and breakouts away fast.
Check out their website at www.sheamoisture.com
Also I’ve been getting some questions about Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, check out this link:
Here’s a website, resource you can use to read up on sodium lauryl sulfate:
http://bodiorganic.com/sodium_lauryl_sulfate.html
“Sodium Lauryl Sulfate causes skin to flake and to separate and causes roughness on the skin.”
“Sodium Lauryl Sulfate is such a caustic cleanser that it actually corrodes the hair follicle and impairs the ability to grow hair.”

Ya ur right it does have SLS in it. I do my best to stay away from it.Fortunately Ambi and and Aveeno both dont, although I havent used Aveeno in a while now, Ambi works great. Glad to hear you found something thats working for you. What improvements in your skin have you seen?
Yeah. I think it …
Yeah. I think it also has SLS in it…or at least the bath stuff does. If I remember correctly you said you didn’t want to use anything with SLS so I hope that’s helpful. I’d have to double check so don’t quote me. (Ambi is also part of Aveeno/Johnson&Johnson, so they probably test too.)
Right now I’m using Boscia face wash. Pretty good. ^__^
Thats definitely a …
Thats definitely a good point, that I’m glad you brought up. I didnt know that. It’s something because I havent used Aveeno since around the time of that video lol Thanks!!!

Aveeno is good but…
I don’t like that they test on animals. If that would only change, I’d be happy to go back to it. T^T
Thanks for the review.
My skin is very …
My skin is very oily in my T-zone area(Nose and forehead) even my eyelids. What I’ve been using the past year now is Ambi, and it works great for oily skin in my opinion. I use it in the morning and at night followed by Witch Hazel. Now if you’re looking for something to control your oiliness then I would definitely recommend Witch Hazel. It refreshes the skin, leaving it clean, but not dry or oily. It perfect!!! Give it a try

It seems as though …
It seems as though some sites list foods that are acidic whereas others list the same foods as alkaline. The more legit sites seem to indicate that the healthy foods are mostly if not always alkaline. I think we’re on the same page.
Oh no definitely. …
Oh no definitely. But eating certain foods can also be too much depending on what it is, they have great health benefits but can also contribute to certain minor problems we may have. Its better to have a balanced diet everyday in order to stay healthy. I’m totally down for the non diary lifestyle. In my opinion, the best idea would be to stick with a healthy diet, and always drink plenty of water. Fresh veggies and fruits is the way to go.
I would have to …
I would have to disagree. If you look at those sites that list acidic food, most of those are really healthy foods such as legumes, pepper, currants, and so forth. Eating a healthy diet without dairy seems the best method.
Some masks can be …
Some masks can be applied to everyday while others can be used like once a week or less. Essentially acidic foods like orange juice can indeed contribute to breakouts, while our bodies have certain tolerance levels certain foods, they can lead to breakouts because of high acidic levels. And the deal with some of us that once we do have a breakout, some of us pick and bother breakouts not knowing they are only making them worst.
Are the masks to be …
Are the masks to be applied everyday? Also, orange juice doesn’t cause acne or make it worse. I guess your argument is that acidic things are bad for acne and alkaline things are good. Well, salicylic acid is an acne treatment and it’s really acidic. So is olive oil and that’s really acidic.
I think those types …
I think those types of masks can help. Ur right, our skin problems have alot to do with our daily diets, I mean if I were to eat ALOT healthier, I have no doubt my skin would clear up. Sum of us have to the time to realize that certain foods just dont work for our skin. For example orange juice which is a very good source of vitamin C but is very acidic if you drink too much, and I love orange juice!! lol
Do you think masks …
Do you think masks like oatmeal, turmeric, egg, and what not can help with acne? Are they too be applied everyday? I feel like acne has more to do with our daily diets and perhaps daily skin routine, such as exfoliating and adding olive oil and perhaps somethign acidic as well instead of masks that are used once a week at most.

Try and find the dudu osun black soap! thats one of the best for the face, its all organic ingredients but you must moisturize after but check that brand out, first ingredient is honey then shea butter, amazing soap and works great as a face mask, clears the skin real good. the raw black soap is very drying to me.
